D’Altroy, more detailed yet very clear, are both excellent choices. If you are interested in the traditions related to the Inti Raymi festival and Andean spirituality, look for works about Quechua culture and Cusco as the former capital of the Inca Empire. In Romanian, the selection is more limited, but you can find general South America guides and online articles about Peru, Lima, Paracas, Huacachina, and Cusco, which complement the English-language guides very well. This way, you will arrive at your destination well prepared, with a deeper understanding of the places you will visit.
